Hi, I’m Tom 👋🏻
I’m a music maker, sound designer and Ableton Certified Trainer.
I’ve been making music since 2003 when I started playing drums. I’ve been using Ableton Live since 2011 and became an Ableton Certified Trainer in November 2013.
Over the years, I’ve built a range of tools to use in my own music-making — so I started ELPHNT (pronounced elephant) to share them with you.
Everything on this site is something I personally use, designed to be flexible, inspiring, and adaptable to any style or workflow.
I’m also an educator and love sharing what I’ve learned.
I’ve worked as a session musician, sound engineer, sound designer, music producer, composer, graphic designer, and VJ. This broad experience gives me a unique perspective on music-making, which I share through tutorials and as a lecturer.
My YouTube channel has over 80,000 subscribers and 3 million views, and my work has been featured by Ableton, MusicTech, ADSR Sounds, Attack Magazine and Point Blank.
I regularly host workshops around the UK and have lectured at institutions including Point Blank London, BIMM London, and SAE Institute Cape Town.
I am, of course, also a music maker.
