Hi, my name is Tom 👋🏻
I’m a music maker, sound designer and Ableton Certified Trainer. I’ve been making music since 2003 when I began playing drums.
I started using Ableton Live in 2011 and became an Ableton Certified Trainer in November 2013.
Over the years I’ve created a number of tools to use in my own music making, so I started ELPHNT (pronounced ‘elephant’) to share those with you.
Every piece of content you’ll find on this website is something I use in my own music, tailored to be adaptable to any style or workflow.
I’m also an educator and love sharing knowledge.
I’ve worked as a session musician, sound engineer, sound designer, music producer, composer, graphic designer and VJ. This broad experience gives me a unique perspective on music making and I love sharing my expertise in tutorial videos and as a lecturer.
My YouTube Channel has over 75,000 subscribers and more than 2.5 million views. My work has been featured on Ableton, Music Tech, ADSR Sounds and Point Blank.
I give regular workshops at events across the UK and have worked as a lecturer at institutions including Point Blank London, BIMM London and SAE Institute Cape Town.
I am, of course, also a music maker. I have been involved in many musical projects over the years. If you’d like to hear some of the music I’ve made, check out the links below.
